Where to start.... Art Attack! Good ol' Neil Buchanan introduced me to creating. I loved to draw and had a box of 'making things' when I was younger... nothing has changed really, apart from my box is now a whole room - the Wonder Room! It's stuffed full to the brim of beautiful fabrics, coloured pens, all sorts of tech, and copious amounts of plants.

Graduating with a Graphic Design degree from Bournemouth Arts University in 2009, I immediately started my first design industry job at a sign company. I'm still fascinated by the printing process and how many methods there are to bring designs to life.

A few years later my husband and I started a family. When the time came for me to return to work, motherhood gave me the nudge to start my own business. It was a scarily brave decision - but I went for it - MooksGoo was born!

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to dip into the crazy world of teaching art and design at a Residential Special School on the Isle of Wight (hats off to all teachers - you bloody rock!). I have collaborated with amazing companies and clients around the globe, and persued my dream of created my own real-life shop (virtual; potato potata), bursting with quirky joy. 

I am a colour-loving graphic designer and illustrator, and the most wonderful element about the creative industry is that there is room for absolutely any style and personality. Bright, bold, wondrous and quirky is just great; it’s much more fun to be different.

What does MooksGoo mean, I hear you say? I get asked this often! Well, It is a combination of nicknames the husband and I had for each other; he called me Mooks and I called him Goo! We were deciding on a house name, and he suggested MooksGoo (yes, my name came first - I am the boss). I loved it so much, I took it just for myself, you know, because marriage is all about teamwork.
